2022 Watercraft Inspection Station Season
The boat inspection station is closed for the year so now it’s time to share the statistics. The Dillon Watercraft Inspection Station had 3,349 inspections, 401 of which were considered high-risk. 253 boats were decontaminated because they were either too dirty to inspect or had standing water. 40 boats had plant remnants on them that had to be removed, removal of these plants is important because this is how invasive species get spread such as the Eurasian watermilfoil. Most importantly, the Dillon Crew found 6 boats with zebra or quagga mussels on them. We had a great season, see you again in the spring!
On a side note if you need to get your boat inspected before the station opens back up to be able to launch in any Montana waterbody please call our office at (406) 683-3802 to schedule an inspection.
