Beaverhead County Collaborative (BCC) Annual Summary – July 2024 to July 2025

Over the past year, the Beaverhead County Collaborative (BCC) made strides in strengthening its approach to public land management recommendations involving several Wilderness Study Areas and Recommended Wilderness areas in the county. Building on years of thoughtful dialogue, the group chose to revisit its July 2024 land management recommendation(s) to foster broader public engagement and deepen consensus. This decision reflects BCC’s commitment to inclusive collaboration and its dedication to ensuring that diverse community voices including those of landowners, elected officials, and user groups who are actively involved in shaping future recommendations.

To support this effort, BCC launched a summer outreach initiative focused on structured conversations and transparent dialogue. Members also began updating the group’s charter and agreement framework to better reflect shared values and improve clarity. With continued support from MFCN and partner organizations, BCC is well-positioned to move forward this fall with a continued collaborative framework for inclusive decision-making and consensus-building around land management recommendations in the area.
